About our Executive Coaching practice

Who we are, why we do this work, and what makes our approach different from the dozens of coaching firms you could choose instead.

How we started

ExecPath Navigator began in 2017 when our founder, Renata Voss, left a 15-year career in corporate strategy to focus on the problem she kept seeing from the inside: talented leaders who were technically brilliant but struggling with the human side of their roles.

She had watched three CEOs in succession at her former employer burn out within two years of appointment. Each was smart, experienced, and well-intentioned. None had a structured way to develop their leadership skills once they reached the top. Mentors offered advice, but advice without accountability fades fast.

Renata trained as a coach through the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership in Sydney, earned her ICF PCC credential, and started taking clients in Perth. The first year was small: six clients, all referrals from her professional network. By the end of year two, demand had grown enough to bring on a second coach. Today we are a team of four, and we have worked with over 180 leaders across mining, professional services, healthcare, technology, and government.

We are still based in East Declanstead, Western Australia. The practice is deliberately small. We do not want to scale to fifty coaches and lose the quality of the work. Each of us carries no more than eight active clients at a time, which means you get a coach who is fully present and not stretched thin.

What we believe

Four principles that shape every engagement we take on.

Specificity over inspiration

We do not do motivational speeches. Every session produces something concrete: a decision framework, a communication script, a weekly planning template. If you cannot point to a tangible output from a session, we have not done our job.

Confidentiality is non-negotiable

What you say in a session stays in that session. When an organisation sponsors the coaching, we agree upfront on what (if anything) gets reported back, and you approve the exact wording before it is shared. We have turned down engagements where the sponsor wanted full access to session notes.

Measurement matters

We use 360-degree feedback surveys, self-assessment scores, and behavioural tracking to measure progress. "I feel better" is nice, but "my direct reports rated my feedback clarity at 4.2 out of 5, up from 2.8 at intake" is useful. We want both, but we insist on the second.

Short engagements, lasting change

Our programs run 8 to 16 sessions. We are not interested in creating dependency. The goal is to build habits and frameworks you can use independently. The three-month follow-up session exists to confirm that the changes have stuck, not to sell you another package.
